Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support our warehouse and distribution operations. This position plays a key role in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring products move efficiently throughout the supply chain. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, vendors, and warehouse personnel.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries while tracking shipments to ensure on-time arrivals.
  • Communicate with transportation providers regarding shipment status, delays, and delivery updates.
  • Assist with inventory management by maintaining accurate records and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory data into warehouse management systems and ERP software.
  • Support the warehouse team with order processing and distribution activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding orders and shipment status.
  • Maintain organized logistics files and documentation.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Perform additional administrative and logistics duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, warehouse administration, or supply chain preferred.
  • Strong understanding of shipping procedures and inventory control.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse as needed.
  • Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment.
