In addition to being a forklift manufacturer, we are also a total solutions provider offering scalable products and services from material handling and automation to extensive fleet support.
About the role:
Joint responsibilities in Product Management and Electrical Engineering for emerging technologies to ensure successful execution of product development. Technologies included are telematics, sensing systems, LiDAR, AI camera systems, and Ultra-Wide Band (UWB). From a product perspective, we will work with leadership to define Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmap. Work to define requirements for the in-scope products. Manage a team of engineers responsible for developing the electrical design, integration, and release of these emerging technology platforms. Responsible for product definition, product design, supplier strategy, cross-functional alignment, and team capability growth. Partner with Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative and reliable solutions
What you will do:
  • Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership: Define the overall product strategy and roadmap for connected solutions. Define product specifications and perform related business analysis, feature prioritization, and supplier selection. Align engineering execution with product roadmaps and business strategy.
  • Technical Oversight: Review and approve system architectures, release packages, and validation plans. Drive quality standards and engineering best practices across the team. Support critical issue resolution during development, pilot, and production. Oversee system-level validation (HIL/SIL), prototype build activities, integration, and validation of department products to meet requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage a team of engineers across entry, mid, lead, and senior levels. Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent; conduct performance evaluations. Allocate resources across programs and manage workload/capacity planning.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Lead supplier technical reviews and negotiations in partnership with procurement. Ensure program schedules, cost targets, and quality goals are met.
  • Organizational Impact: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (process, tools, test automation). Represent the engineering function in leadership reviews.

When & Where:
Hybrid Work Schedule: in the office 3 days a week. Travel 25%
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical. Systems or related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering with 2+ years of leadership experience (mentoring, leading a team)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex electrical or connected system products. Supplier management and negotiation capabilities
  • Broad expertise in electrical systems engineering, vehicle integration, and emerging technologies. Able to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, sensing systems, telematics, and control interfaces.
  • Demonstrated capability to review and approve engineering designs, validation plans, and release documentation.
  • Ability to coach and develop a team. Communication skills, including presenting technical material to executive audiences.
  • Excellent strategic thinking: ability to align engineering execution with product roadmaps and business needs.

What would be nice to have:
  • Broad understanding of vehicle or material handling electrical architectures and long-term platform strategy.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, technology roadmapping, or multi-year architecture planning.
  • Business case development and cost/benefit modeling. Able to coordinate cross-functional resources/processes. Communicate to customers and exec.
  • Knowledge of supplier ecosystem trends in sensing, telematics, and connected system component markets.
  • Experience with advanced sensing technologies (LiDAR, UWB, radar, or AI-based camera systems) and cloud ecosystems (loT, and device-to-cloud)
  • Experience with HIL/SIL environments, simulation tools, or system modeling methodologies
