Come join the team atPoste Montane Lodge as our Chief Engineer and play a key role in maintaining the comfort, functionality, and overall experience of one of Beaver Creek's most distinctive mountain lodges!We're seeking a resourceful and motivated maintenance professional who enjoys staying hands-on, solving problems, and taking ownership of property operations in a hospitality environment.

In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day performance of critical building systems, support long-term property upkeep, and help ensure the lodge consistently meets high standards for owners, guests, and team members alike. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines technical expertise with initiative, organization, and a strong service mindset!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the performance and upkeep of essential property systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components
  • Troubleshooting maintenance concerns, identifying root causes, and completing repairs with efficiency and attention to safety
  • Supporting ongoing preventive maintenance efforts along with property upgrades and capital improvement projects
  • Collaborating with leadership to identify opportunities that improve operations, reliability, and the overall guest environment
  • Working closely with onsite departments and engineering leadership to maintain a smooth and well-functioning property

Pay Rate:$78,000 - $82,000 per year, DOE. Hiring bonus paid half after 30 days from hireand the second half after 90 days.

Minimum Requirements

Our Ideal candidate brings the following:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field; or a certificate from a college or technical school in a facilities maintenance or engineering field
  • 3-6 years of related experience and/or training
  • Strong knowledge of building systems with hands-on experience applying engineering principles
  • Ability to evaluate systems, identify current or potential issues, and make informed recommendations
  • Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills, using available resources and independent research to solve problems
