Job description

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced dosimetrist to support a cancer facility in the surrounding area. This position is integral in delivering precise radiation therapy treatment plans, working in collaboration with a dedicated oncology team. The facility is eager to move forward with interviews and needs a qualified professional to begin as soon as possible.
Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible schedule available
  • Locum Tenens assignment with immediate start
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a dosimetrist required
  • Active or in-process New York State license (required)
  • ARRT certification necessary
  • Solid clinical background; no new graduates will be considered
  • Prior locum experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with Mosaiq, Elekta, Varian, and TrueBeam is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and calculate precise radiation dose distributions in accordance with physician prescriptions
  • Utilize advanced treatment planning software and equipment
  • Collaborate with medical physicists, radiation oncologists, and therapists to ensure optimal patient care
  • Verify accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Participate in quality assurance activities
