This hub hospital serves 16 surrounding counties and a population exceeding 200,000, functioning as a regional center for orthopedic surgical services. The facility includes 4 physicians, cast technicians, surgery schedulers, and reception staff, with 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms per clinician, along with on-site medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services. Procedures offered include total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement, hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures, and trauma and fracture care. The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 to 90 days.

The orthopedic surgery nurse practitioner will provide PRN day shift coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weeknight call PRN and 24-hour weekend call, across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.. Inpatient responsibilities include rounding on post-operative patients, managing inpatient and emergency department consults, and providing OR coverage. Clinical responsibilities encompass surgical and trauma/orthopedic call, with EPIC EMR utilized for all hospital-based clinical documentation.
