Looking to turn your Pharm.D. education into real-world impact? At Sweetgrass Pharmacy, our Pharmacy Interns don’t just observe — they do. This is more than fulfilling hours, this is a hands-on opportunity to build the foundation of your pharmacy career in a fast-growing, patient-focused independent pharmacy.


Working under the direction of a Pharmacist, you’ll gain exposure to the many moving parts of modern pharmacy practice — from patient care and prescription processing to lab work and pharmacy operations. You’ll leave with practical experience, professional confidence, and a deeper understanding of how pharmacies truly run.

What You’ll Experience

This internship is designed to give you a well-rounded view of pharmacy practice:


Patient Care & Customer Experience

  • Assist patients via phone, email, and in person
  • Observe pharmacist–patient consultations
  • Help resolve customer questions and concerns

Pharmacy Operations

  • Fill prescriptions and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision
  • Stock shelves, label medications, and organize inventory
  • Maintain medication and supply inventory
  • Support cashiering and point-of-sale functions

Clinical & Professional Development

  • Stay informed on new, discontinued, or updated medications
  • Communicate with physicians for prescription clarifications
  • Learn insurance processing and pharmacy workflow systems

Administrative Support

  • File patient records
  • Process insurance claims
