Position Type: Locum | Physician - Vascular Surgery
Overview
A leading hospital in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon for a short-term locum assignment. This role provides an opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with high case exposure and comprehensive support.
Practice Highlights
  • Coverage Dates: October 3-5 (covering PTO)
  • Setting: Hospital-based role with night call coverage
  • Average 10 cases/day across adult and geriatric patients
  • Full complement of ancillary staff available
  • 2 operating rooms dedicated to vascular cases
  • EMR: Epic
  • Trauma Level: Level 1 with annual ER volume of 250K
Procedures & Skills Required
  • Vascular Surgery: Aneurysm repairs (thoracic, abdominal, peripheral), vascular access devices, AV shunt
  • Endovascular Surgery: Carotid artery stenting, bypass surgery, aortofemoral bypass, stenting, reconstruction for deep vein occlusions
  • Treatment of Lymphedema and Gangrene of the limbs
  • Peripheral Artery Disease management
Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certified / FACS - Required
  • Active OH License - Required (no exceptions)
  • DEA, BLS, ACLS - Required
Schedule & Coverage
  • Call Schedule: Night call with 50% call ratio
  • Credentialing: Standard locum credentialing requirements
