Job description

The entry level, Credentialing Specialist I, supports the credentialing and/or recredentialing processes for applicants and members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals throughout BHSF. Initial applications and reappointment applications are processed in accordance with established policies, rules and regulations, bylaws, and regulatory governmental standards, and NCQA standards, thereby ensuring that only qualified practitioners provide care within BHSF. In collaboration with each Medical Staff Office, he/she professionally supports health care providers in verifying their credentials and obtaining appropriate privileges. He/she will participate in projects initiated to facilitate the credentialing and verification process. He/She will function under close supervision of department leadership. Participation in educational opportunities will be required. 

Estimated pay range for this position is $20.02 - $26.03 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees:
  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Detail oriented professional with preferred three (3) years experience in the healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment operations.
  • Database and computer literacy.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal required.
  • Excellent customer service, organization, planning and time management skills.
