Job description

Don’s Lock & Key is seeking a FULL- TIME AUTOMOTIVE LOCKSMITH in the Long Beach area. The position available is a rare opportunity to be hired into a senior leadership role with one of the highest-paid levels we offer. Automotive experience is required; however, we are also more than happy to provide additional training.

We are seeking a hard-working individual who is looking to grow with our expanding company and team. We are family-owned and operated for more than 30+ years and treat our employees as so.

Compensation: hourly wage plus commission pay. Earning potential $1000 - $2500 + a week.

We offer competitive compensation, health insurance for full-time employees and 401K.

Company vehicle provided, must have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driver's record. Qualified candidates must be 21 and over with a clear criminal background.


Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Locksmith
  • Knowledge of various types of locks and security devices
  • Ability to use locksmith tools and equipment effectively
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification as a Registered Locksmith (RL) or Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL)

Job duties include:

  • Repair ignitions, car key replacements, auto key programming, truck unlocking, re-keying vehicles
  • Responsible for the installation of residential and commercial locks, re-key and install locks
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintenance promptly
  • Exceptional mechanical skills and the ability to be trained
