Job Overview: Manages staff and the on-going operations of the Access Control Department in regards to card access and locksmith responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of equipment, and supporting systems related to electronic key systems, locking devices and other hardware to provide for the security and safety of guests, team members, and the protection of Gaming Enterprise and Community assets and properties.

  • Oversees day to day management of existing and new installations related to access control projects for the Gaming Enterprise and Community. This includes the management of staffing, project scheduling/ completion, materials, parts, equipment, inventories, supply procurement, expenses, records, preventative maintenance, and coordination of purchase orders with vendors and projects with contractors.
  • Manages databases for different master key systems and key issuance records for Gaming Enterprise and Community properties. Maintains audit records for keys throughout the Gaming Enterprise. Ensures compliance with Gaming Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards and departmental procedures.
  • Provides management supervision of team members including performance management, training programs/ continuing education, scheduling, and hiring. Directs the scope of operational standards and priorities. Responsible for oversight of the Locksmith Apprentice Program. Assists with the implementation and on-going development within the department of the Gaming Enterprise initiatives pertaining to Purpose, Vision and Values.
  • Assess and implement locksmith programs, lock installation, and repair standards to maintain industry best practices and ensure the continuing security of all access and locking systems. Evaluate new and emerging access control technology, including new hardware, software, and management tools related to access control, card access, key controls and security.
  • Develop and monitor annual budget, maintain files and records, monitor systems, collaborate with other departments to assist in the identification and resolution of access control and lock system issues, monitor supplies and equipment usage and other occasional tasks.
  • Performs direct report duties as needed.

Job Requirements: 

  • Combination of education and experience to equal at least eight years in Locksmith and Card Access fields.
  • Minimum two years experience in a high security lock system institutional setting.
  • Working experience with operational budgets.
  • Certification in Medeco High Security Locks, C-Cure Systems, and Saflok Card Key Systems.
  • Valid Class D driver’ s license is required with a good driving record.
