This job is responsible for managing portfolio/programs specific to change initiatives, providing a products and services, or executing a function. Manages a portfolio/ programs specific to corporate change initiatives that have significant and strategic impact on how the company does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Supports non-significant change initiatives and assessments within the portfolio to ensure consistent delivery regardless of the type of change. Responsible for enterprise and/or line of business-wide, cross functional, high impact strategic initiatives by ensuring delivery of business outcomes from portfolio investments. May serve as primary contact to Executive management for critical change initiatives depending on scope and impact of business supporting. The Wholesale Lockbox Portfolio Manager leads a strategically significant portfolio of business partner initiatives, ensuring each program is set up, executed, and governed in alignment with enterprise priorities and change standards. Serving as the primary contact for both material and non material change assessments, this role partners closely with line of business leaders to evaluate new initiatives, manage intake, and drive delivery of measurable business outcomes. The Portfolio Manager facilitates FLU governance and Solution Manager routines to maintain transparency, surface risks, and ensure disciplined execution across all programs.
In this role, the Portfolio Manager provides leadership and oversight across a network of project managers, indirectly guiding their work to ensure accurate reporting, timely progress updates, and adherence to change requirements. They synthesize complex portfolio information into clear, compelling updates for L4 leadership, preparing materials that highlight accomplishments, portfolio health, and deep dive project insights. Through strong governance, communication, and strategic engagement, the Portfolio Manager creates a coherent operational approach that drives consistency, accountability, and successful delivery across all initiatives in the portfolio

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and drives success around line of business performance in key operational and high risk metrics through detailed routines, initiatives, and technology improvements
  • Serves as a primary contact to executive leadership and key partners to communicate change initiatives and gain support for the execution of projects and programs
  • Monitors process or key metric performance to identify issues and proactively offers solutions to mitigate risk
  • Hosts and actively participates in critical line of business meetings to provide regular updates on change initiatives and performance requirements and influences others to help drive success
  • Manages strategies and controls to address policy, technology, environmental, and operational gaps
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for all line of business products to help design procedures, policies, or career progression models that will enhance the associate and client experience
  • Leads people that help support cross functional and high impact strategic initiatives, either directly or through dotted line engagement

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience including process improvement/re-engineering in the Agile project methodology for both processes only and/or technology change efforts
  • Knowledgeable in bank operations and applies this information to program and projects effectively
  • Actively applies a risk and control mindset to how projects are executed
  • Ability to mentor and coach others on Bank of America change management expectations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, with strong expertise in PowerPoint and Copilot for creating high-quality, impactful presentations and content.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently deliver engaging, polished presentations to diverse audiences.
