We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a team in North Andover, Massachusetts in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent position. This position focuses on supporting day-to-day receivables activity, ensuring incoming payments are processed accurately, and helping maintain positive customer account relationships. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a customer-focused mindset, and experience handling core AR functions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process incoming customer payments and apply cash accurately to the appropriate accounts.
• Reconcile lockbox activity and investigate discrepancies to keep account records current.
• Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on open items, and support timely collection efforts.
• Respond to customer questions regarding invoices, payments, and account status with professionalism and urgency.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and prepare documentation to support account research.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve payment processing workflows.• Experience working in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.
