Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the planning and execution of multilingual content projects across a broad client portfolio. This mid-level role requires strong project ownership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage both standard and complex workflows. PMs work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.


This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in localization project management, client engagement, and creative operations. Successful PMs will be well-positioned to take on more strategic responsibilities and grow into senior roles within the team.

JOB DUTIES

  • *Scope, quote, and plan standard localization and transcreation projects
  • *Execute complex projects planned by Senior PMs
  • *Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
  • *Source specialized vendors for rare languages or niche verticals
  • *Oversee creative quality control for transcreation and adaptation work
  • *Final-eye all deliverables from Project Coordinators before client delivery
  • *Communicate directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • *Conduct post-project check-ins with clients and internal teams to gather feedback
  • *Deliver final assets and ensure proper handoff
  • *Manage billing and ensure accurate invoicing
  • *Track and report on project health, including budget and timeline performance
  • *Maintain client CRM records, including QA concerns, accolades, and growth opportunities
  • *Identify and escalate new project opportunities and areas for client engagement
  • Lead execution of increasingly complex projects.
  • Identify and propose process improvements.
  • Mentor Project Coordinators and support onboarding.
  • Take ownership of client communication for assigned accounts.
  • Contribute to account-level reporting and delivery strategy.


PMs lead the planning and quoting of standard projects and execute more advanced projects scoped by Senior PMs. They serve as the primary point of contact for clients at the project level, ensuring clear communication, smooth delivery, and continuous improvement through post-project feedback and reporting. PMs are expected to build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, growth, and innovation.


Growth within this role includes exposure to complex, multi-disciplinary projects, and bespoke solutioning and execution. Success in this role will develop localization and creative agency expertise and hone advanced project management skills as well as hybrid client management skills. This position offers opportunities to build specializations.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Linguistics, International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business). A combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • 2–4 years of experience in project management within one or more of the following:
  • - Communications agency
  • - Marketing services department of an advertiser
  • - Production facility or advertising supplier
  • - Translation or transcreation agency


TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Required: Wordbee or similar TMS, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Preferred: Figma, InDesign, AirTable, Smartsheets
  • Language and Communication Skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Advanced proficiency in another language is strongly preferred
  • Strong semantic analysis skills and passion for languages
