Job description

Our mission at Duolingo is to develop the best education in the world and make it universally available. It's a big mission, and that's where you come in! At Duolingo, you'll join a team that cares about educating our users, experimenting with big ideas, making fact-based decisions, and finding innovative solutions to complex problems.

You'll have limitless learning opportunities and daily collaborations with world-class minds โ€” while doing work that's both meaningful and fun. Join our life-changing mission to develop education for our half a billion (and growing!) learners around the world. Read our blog to learn more.

About the role We're looking for a Marketing Program Manager (Contract) to orchestrate complex, cross-functional marketing work so we deliver A+ campaigns on time, every time. You'll sit within our Brand Marketing team; partner closely with Studio, Social, Growth, Design, Localization, Product, and external agencies; and bring structure to fast-moving programs without stifling creativity. This contract role focuses on campaign planning and execution, creative workflows, and launch coordination across channels and markets.

This is an asโ€needed contract position expected to average approximately 20-40 hours per week during engagement periods, with flexibility to increase hours during major campaign planning and launch periods. You will... Break down big campaign goals into clear, trackable plans, defining milestones, owners, risks, and dependencies across workstreams and vendors.

Set up and run the operating system for campaigns: Asana boards, timelines, status forums, notes/recaps, and decision logs; ensure the right people are involved at the right time. Drive endโ€toโ€end execution for priority launches, coordinating brand, social, CRM, web, performance, PR, and localization deliverables to hit dates and quality bars. Maintain impeccable project documentation and asset organization; track feedback cycles and route revisions promptly and accurately.

Identify and remove blockers, manage change with clear comms, and keep partners aligned through crisp updates and meeting facilitation. Collaborate with external agencies, production partners, and freelancers; clarify scopes, deliverables, and timelines and ensure handoffs are smooth. Contribute to continuous improvement by refining processes, templates, and rituals that scale our marketing engine without dulling the creative edge.

You have... Minimum 3 years of experience in program/project management in a marketing or creative environment, driving crossโ€functional work to completion. Demonstrated mastery of project planning and timelining for campaigns of varying complexity and size.

Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills; you turn ambiguity into clear next steps. Familiarity with marketing assets and creative production workflows across channels (video, social, CRM, web, paid media). Proficiency with project/task management tools (e.g., Asana) and a documentationโ€first mindset.

A bias for action, attention to detail, and resilience in fastโ€paced, evolving environments. Exceptional candidates will have... Experience coordinating multiโ€market launches and localization workflows in partnership with Localization and regional teams.

Handsโ€on experience managing external agencies or production partners for integrated campaigns. Familiarity with Jira and adjacent creative ops tools; comfort building lightweight systems that teams adopt. Background in brand, social, or growth marketing program management and an interest in languages.
