What is a localization product manager?

Localization Product Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the adaptation of products, such as software, websites, or content, for different languages and cultural markets. They coordinate between development, marketing, and localization teams to ensure products meet the needs of users in various regions. Their role involves managing translation workflows, setting localization strategies, and ensuring quality and consistency across all localized versions. By doing so, they help organizations effectively reach global audiences and enhance user experience across different markets.

How does a localization product manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during the product development lifecycle?

Localization Product Managers regularly work with engineering, design, marketing, and regional teams to ensure products are accurately adapted for various markets. They coordinate with developers to integrate localization workflows, partner with translators and linguists for quality content, and consult with marketing and customer support to align on regional messaging. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate for localization needs while balancing project timelines and business goals. Collaboration is ongoing from initial planning through post-launch updates, making teamwork a core part of the job.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a localization product manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Localization Product Manager, you need expertise in product management, localization processes, and cross-cultural communication, usually supported by a degree in business, language studies, or a related field. Familiarity with localization tools (such as CAT tools, TMS platforms), agile project management software, and sometimes certifications like PMP or Agile are typically required. Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help you coordinate across global teams and manage complex projects. These skills ensure that products are successfully adapted for international markets, meeting both quality standards and business goals.

Job description

We are seeking a Product Manager II to serve as the operational engine driving execution and optimization for our most critical growth vectors. This is a high-impact individual contributor role designed for a product manager who thrives in cross-functional coordination, excels at high-velocity delivery, and actively translates data into actionable feature improvements. You will be responsible for taking established product strategies and transforming them into predictable release cycles, mapping dependencies, and leading cross-functional teams through the entire delivery lifecycle-from kickoff to successful global launch and scaling across both US and International digital products.

This role is designed for an execution-focused, high-performing product manager who is ready to act as a core delivery and ideation partner to design and engineering leadership. You will be a product "force multiplier," raising the bar for predictable delivery, feature optimization, risk mitigation, and process excellence across the team.

About this team

The Bold.pro team sits within the RevX division, serving as the core retention arm of the company. Our mission is to maximize long-term customer value by building experiences that keep users engaged throughout their career journey. While we own the post-conversion experience, Bold.pro works dynamically across multiple teams-including top-of-funnel initiatives-to create seamless touchpoints that connect resumes from our other BOLD brands directly to jobs through a full professional suite.ย

Central to this mission is our live professional identity ecosystem. Bold.pro transforms static resumes into active, continuous career platforms while scaling our two-sided marketplace and monetization pipelines with sister sites like Monster and CareerBuilder. As a highly experimental and data-driven team, we leverage rapid testing, personalization, and lifecycle strategy to drive engagement and lifetime value. We sit squarely at the intersection of product, growth, and user experience to deliver meaningful impact at scale.

What you'll doย

  • Drive Feature Optimization: Analyze user behavior, funnel metrics, and product data to identify tactical friction points, recommending and scoping high-impact feature enhancements that deepen engagement on Bold.pro.
  • Close the Loop on Results: Define key success metrics for new features, analyze post-launch performance data, and synthesize those learnings into actionable insights to inform future roadmap iterations.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Partner daily with engineering, design, and localization teams through the sprint rituals and workflows required to bring complex monetization and marketplace initiatives to life.
  • Predictable Feature Delivery: Translate product roadmaps into highly structured, actionable delivery plans, establishing clear sprint goals, milestones, and release governance.
  • Dependency & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify execution risks, resource constraints, and critical-path bottlenecks early, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard target launch dates.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Support, ensuring absolute alignment on feature scoping, change management, and launch readiness.
  • Global Launch Support: Manage end-to-end operational deployment and go-to-market checklists for international (INTL) expansions and localization pipelines, ensuring fast feature parity across markets.

What you'll need

  • 3-5+ years in Product Management, specifically within a fast-growing SaaS environment, consumer subscription service, or digital marketplace.
  • Data-Driven Ideation: Proven ability to look at quantitative dashboards and qualitative user feedback, spot conversion drop-offs, and articulate clear, practical product solutions.
  • Execution Focus: A strong track record of taking product initiatives and successfully breaking them down into structured, executable release plans using agile frameworks and modern sprint planning.
  • Mastery of Coordination: You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift dynamically, and you excel at keeping cross-functional teams aligned, focused, and moving forward.
  • Technical Literacy: You can confidently hold your own in engineering discussions and understand how technical trade-offs impact delivery timelines and project agility.
  • Clear Communication: The ability to collaborate seamlessly across design and engineering teams, manage up effectively, and translate project statuses and product insights into concise, clear updates for leadership.

What's good to haveย

  • Networking Ecosystem Proficiency: Experience building features tailored for professional networking ecosystems, identity-driven profiles, or social connectivity platforms where building a digital presence or user-to-user engagement loops are central to product value (desired, but not required).
