Position Description
We are seeking a qualified applicant with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to join our team as a heavy equipment field mechanic. Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, backhoes, & more .
Job Duties:
    • Basic job duties of a heavy equipment mechanic.
    • Maintain various heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, front end loaders scrapers, haul trucks and other miscellaneous equipment.
    • Communicate with crew members and supervisors to ensure jobsite safety, production and quality standards are met.
    • Some local travel may be required.

Position Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
    • 1 or more years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic beneficial.
    • Welding skills beneficial.
    • Computer skills beneficial.
    • CDL license beneficial.
    • Other safety and/or technical training is beneficial.
    • Owning your own tools is preferred but not required.

Work Requirements:
    • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
    • Strict Adherence to safety requirements, procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
    • We require pre-employment as well as recurring random drug screening for all employees regardless of their role in the Company.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:
    • This position requires time spent walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, and sitting.
    • Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to perform manual labor.

Work Environment:
    • This position involves outdoor work. Candidates must be able to work extended/overtime hours on job sites in adverse weather conditions including heat, sun, cold and rain.
    • Saturdays required during the summer.
    • Home at night.

Pay and Benefits:
    • Up to $40.14 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
    • Health insurance plan through Operating Engineers Local 324.
    • Pension plan through Operating Engineers Local 324.
