JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: CDL Truck Driver

LOCATION: Auburn Hills, Michigan

JOB TYPE: Full-Time


JOB SUMMARY

Commercial Contracting Corporation is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver to support our construction operations. This position is based in Auburn Hills, MI and requires travel to project and customer sites.

The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, materials, and supplies while maintaining compliance with all company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.


Union Position: If hired, employees will be required to obtain and maintain a current union card. Operators Local 324 membership is preferred. CCC will assist with the process if needed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Safely transport equipment, materials, and supplies to project locations.
  • Follow all federal, state, local, and site-specific transportation and safety requirements.
  • Complete required DOT and company documentation accurately and on time.
  • Report equipment issues, incidents, safety concerns, and environmental concerns promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS


Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Class A CDL driving experience.
  • Verifiable professional driving experience.
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass required background screening, drug screening, and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current DOT Medical Card.
  • Meet all federal DOT qualifications for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and reliable work ethic.


Preferred

  • HAZMAT endorsement/certification.
  • Operators Local 324 union membership.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work at elevations of 30+ feet when required.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull 5065 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to grip and operate vehicle controls for extended periods.
