Job Title: Concession Stand Runner

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To:Assistant Director of Concessions

FLSA Status: Part-Time/Non-Exempt

Pay Rate:$16.87/hour

Available Shifts: Flexible, part-time schedule including some long shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

THE ROLE

As a Concession Stand Runner at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for delivering products to all concession stands in a timely manner.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Transfer product to concession stands/carts while complying with inventory procedures.
  • Setup product in stands, rotate stock and inventory, and prepare for future events.
  • Help receive, unload, and store deliveries.
  • Stock, clean, and organize the Commissary, Stands, and Surge areas.
  • Assist in pre-event setup through various duties and assist in post event breakdown.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area following sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, and professional relationship with coworkers at all times.
  • Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with New York State laws and regulations as well as Company policies, practices, and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Six months' experience in a food & beverage or warehouse environment preferred.

SKILLS YOU'LL NEED

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Desire to work as a team.
  • Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • ServSafe & TIPS certification a plus.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
