Overview

This role supports the Loan Trading Desk and is responsible for the execution, control, and settlement of loan trades. The position is highly operational, with a strong focus on trade processing, reconciliation, and coordination with internal teams and external providers.


Core Responsibilities

Trade Execution & Booking

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of loan trades (trade date to settlement)
  • Create and process trades in ClearPar
  • Book transactions in Loan IQ (deals, facilities, positions)

Settlement & Cash Management

  • Coordinate settlement with Back Office and counterparties
  • Validate and release payments
  • Ensure all trade-related cash flows are accurate and timely

Reconciliation & Monitoring

  • Track unsettled trades and follow up until completion
  • Perform daily reconciliations (cash, positions, trades)
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies

Outsourcing Oversight

  • Supervise external provider (Alter Domus)
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure tasks are properly executed
  • Ensure compliance with agreed processes and SLAs

Issue Management

  • Identify and escalate trade breaks or operational issues
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve issues before settlement

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Produce reports on trade status and operational metrics
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency


Profile

Experience

  • 3+ years in Loan Trading Operations / Middle Office / Settlements

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of loan trading lifecycle and settlement processes
  • Hands-on experience with ClearPar and Loan IQ
  • Solid Excel skills (reconciliation, tracking)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Education

  • Degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
