Position Title: Loadout Crew Laborer (Entry Level)

Location: Prestressed Concrete, Newton, KS

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old

Description:

The Loadout Crew Laborer at Prestressed Concrete Construction plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our production yard. This position involves a variety of tasks including assisting the crane operator, driving trucks, operating forklifts and small tractors, loading and unloading production, and maintaining a clean and organized yard. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and capable of performing physical labor in an outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the crane operator with loading and unloading concrete products, ensuring proper rigging and secure lifting of materials.
  • Operate swamper trucks, yard trucks, forklifts, and small tractors to move trailers, production materials, and maintain yard functionality.
  • Load production pieces onto trailers and semi-trucks for transport, ensuring loads are secure and meet quality standards.
  • Unload materials and store them in designated areas according to operational guidelines.
  • Strip concrete pieces from beds and prepare them for the next production cycle.
  • Perform yard maintenance tasks, including cleaning and organizing, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate efficient daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as swamper trucks, yard trucks, forklifts, and small tractors.
  • Basic knowledge of rigging and material handling procedures.
