LMC recently acquired New Mexico’s first Intuitive da Vinci 5 ® surgical system, demonstrating its commitment to the most advanced technology available in minimally invasive surgery. LMC has 263 licensed beds.

Responsibilities

Assists surgeons with surgical procedures within the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, including conveying sterile instruments and supplies used in basic to complex surgical procedures.  Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.   


Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or a clinical-based program.
  • Anatomy and Physiology, sterile technique, instrumentation, and medical equipment knowledge.
  • medical terminology knowledge.
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques, Operating Room instruments, and supplies.
  • Six (6) months of experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery unit. 
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:  

  • 1 year OR experience.
  • Certified OR Tech.
  • CORT; or CST.
