Position Summary
The Compliance Analyst supports the Transaction Tax Compliance function by processing multi-state transaction tax returns for DMA clients as well as resolving notices and completing monthly reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Collect, analyze, and process data for the timely completion and filing of transaction tax returns
โ€ข Process tax returns and filings for assigned clients
โ€ข Prepare check batches and electronic payment batches
โ€ข Monitor, review, and resolve jurisdictional tax notices
โ€ข Complete month end reporting (scanning, uploading, Year to Date tracking, etc.)
โ€ข Prepare bank reconciliations for applicable clients
โ€ข Familiarizes with state and local tax compliance changes
โ€ข Maintain a professional relationship with clients
โ€ข Assist with projects such as amended returns, address change, name change, closures, etc.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Support management with internal projects as needed
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; equivalent combination of work experience and education may be substituted
โ€ข 1-2 years' experience in a professional, deadline driven environment preferred
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
โ€ข Exceptional attention to detail
โ€ข Strong verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Ability to accurately complete high-volume work
โ€ข Ability to work well under pressure
โ€ข Excellent organization skills
โ€ข Flexibility to work overtime when required
