This position is onsite at our vibrant rehabilitation facility, which features modern equipment and resources tailored to assist in patient rehabilitation. As part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will work alongside skilled professionals from various disciplines, including physical therapists, nurses, and other specialists, ensuring an integrative approach to patient care.

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess each patient’s functional abilities and needs, using standardized assessment tools to develop a comprehensive understanding of their challenges.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, establishing clear goals that focus on enhancing activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and cognitive function.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive techniques, such as assistive technology and sensory integration methods, tailored to the specific needs of each resident.
• Educate patients and their families about adaptive strategies and home modifications that can facilitate recovery and promote independence.
• Collaborate with our diverse healthcare team, sharing insights and contributing to integrated care plans that optimize treatment outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving patient needs and responses.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest advances in occupational therapy practices and methodologies.

The occupational therapist will primarily work with elderly residents at Tranquil Pines, many of whom may be recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic conditions, or experiencing age-related declines in function. You will establish meaningful connections with residents, adapting your therapeutic approach to their unique histories and preferences, thereby fostering trust and enhancing engagement in therapy.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Oregon state license as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to obtain one.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage residents in their rehabilitation journey.
• A strong foundation in problem-solving skills to address the diverse challenges faced by residents in a rehabilitation setting.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working cohesively within a team-oriented environment.
• A genuine passion for helping individuals regain independence and enhance their quality of life through skilled therapy.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in occupational therapy, preferably within an orthopedic or outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Experience working with geriatric populations is highly desirable, as it involves understanding the specific needs and challenges of older adults.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities and the use of technology in rehabilitation, such as virtual reality or telehealth platforms.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000.
