Job description

Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate LIVE-IN Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) available throughout Somerset and Middlesex Counties. Caregivers-we call ours Care Professionals-to become a part of our team and join our mission of expanding the world's capacity to care. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer's Care

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
  • Must be a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in the state of New Jersey
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 25 lbs
  • Ability to bend, twist and reach
