The Elementary Teacher (2nd grade) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality
instruction to students in a private school setting. This role supports the academic, social, and emotional
development of each student while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment aligned
with the school’s mission and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core subject areas, including English Language
Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
 Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
 Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
 Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools
 Assess and monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments
 Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance
 Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive student behavior
 Support students’ social, emotional, and character development
 Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress
and classroom updates
 Participate in parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and school events
 Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
 Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and expectations
 Participate in ongoing professional development

Are You Qualified?

 Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
 Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
