Solar Sales Team Leader / Regional Sales Manager

Location: Lehi, Utah and Phoenix, Arizona

We are an emerging technology and energy company expanding rapidly throughout the Southwest. Our organization is launching a specialized residential solar program that provides a significant competitive advantage in today's marketplace.

With projected growth of more than 1,000 residential solar installations in Utah over the next two years and 2,000+ installations across Arizona, Nevada, and Texas, we are seeking a proven sales leader to help build and scale high-performing solar sales organizations.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced solar sales professional who wants to lead regional expansion, recruit top talent, and build a large-scale sales operation with substantial income and advancement potential.


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solar Sales Team Leader / Regional Sales Manager to recruit, train, manage, and scale residential solar sales teams in Utah and Arizona.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building and managing solar sales organizations of 20+ team members and possesses deep expertise in residential solar sales, leadership, recruiting, coaching, and performance management.

This position is designed for a hands-on leader who understands how to enter new markets, attract top-performing sales professionals, implement successful sales systems, and consistently drive installation volume.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, develop, and lead residential solar sales teams in Utah and Arizona
  • Build and manage teams consisting of setters, closers, team leaders, and sales managers
  • Develop and implement sales systems for prospecting, appointments, presentations, follow-up, and closing
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals tied to installation volume and revenue targets
  • Expand sales operations into additional markets throughout Nevada and Texas
  • Coach team members on sales strategy, objection handling, customer education, and closing techniques
  • Monitor team performance, close rates, cancellation rates, pipeline activity, and installation progression
  • Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, motivation, and consistent production
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, installation, and customer support departments
  • Develop market-specific growth strategies for Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas
  • Identify, mentor, and promote future sales leaders and market managers
  • Represent the company professionally with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders


Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably within residential solar
  • Proven experience building and managing solar sales organizations of 20+ sales professionals
  • Strong recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention experience
  • Demonstrated success generating high-volume residential solar sales
  • Deep understanding of solar financing, utility programs, tax incentives, and customer savings models
  • Experience managing both field sales and virtual sales teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and performance management skills
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and pipeline management platforms
  • Self-motivated, organized, and highly results-driven
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred

  • Solar sales leadership experience in Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and/or Texas
  • Experience launching and scaling new solar markets
  • Dealer, direct sales, canvassing, or referral-based solar sales experience
  • Experience managing setters, closers, team leaders, and regional sales organizations
  • Existing network of solar sales professionals and recruiters


Compensation
