Job Description
Manages equipment for Women's Ice Hockey and other assigned sports. Orders, fits, maintains, repairs, issues, cleans, and inventories athletic equipment for assigned teams. Assists in purchasing of equipment, contacts vendors, prepares orders, receives, and inspects deliveries. Assists with budget costs on assigned sports equipment needs. Makes on the spot decisions related to equipment and student athlete safety for assigned sports. Manages fitting and maintenance of protective equipment. Attends home and travels to away contest to coordinate team equipment needs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with purchasing and equipment maintenance required. Knowledge and experience in skate sharpening, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of athletic equipment and apparel desired. Candidates must have successful experience working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment and act with integrity and personal accountability. Hours and days worked vary. May require completion of a criminal background check.
