Job description

Position Summary

The Account Manager for Rural Hospitals will be responsible for implementing a new membership program created for rural hospitals in nine states that are primarily in the ‘Northwest Central’ and ‘Mountain’ regions of the United States. The successful candidate will be passionate about Civica’s mission and driven to help rural hospitals and their patients that are frequently in underserved communities. High energy, passion, and influence skills are critical success factors for this position.

The states currently being served are Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nevada, Hawaii. The candidate will ideally live in the central or mountain time zones to support frequent travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Creating awareness and excitement for this new membership model
  • Energetically showing the value for rural hospitals to join Civica in order to protect their patients from shortages of essential generic medicines
  • Success will rely on getting in front of these hospitals and their state hospital associations via attending state level meetings and rural health care conferences. This is a high travel role.
  • Ability to connect with leaders at multiple levels, including small hospital C-Suite leaders and state hospital association leader
  • Ensure commitment to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree required; combination of education/experience will be considered
  • Knowledge / experience with account management and commercial activities
  • Passion for helping people in underserved communities
  • Experience in rural healthcare is a plus
  • Excellent communication, written, and public presentation skills
  • Project management skills with attention to details
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and problem-solving skills
