Description

Our Assistant General Resort Manager is responsible for assisting the GM with the operational and continued profitability of the resort and serves as the day-to-day point of contact for guests. They are in charge of everything from administrative activities, marketing, property maintenance, budgeting, and most importantly guest relations.


This position may require flexible scheduling availability. Housing is not included in this position.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate team member selection and development and ensure team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures
  • Ensure guests receive the highest levels of customer service consistent with Island's Customer Service Philosophy
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints, inquiries, and issues in a timely and professional manner, communicating through a variety of meansย 
  • Monitor, code, and approve all invoices for operating expenses and sales-related costsย 
  • Maintain petty cash and activity accounts
  • Handle and report emergencies that may arise on site, insuring adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Oversee and account for balancing of RV income nightly.ย 
  • Signs off on bank deposits and forwards RV income report on a nightly basis
  • Assist the above property management and/or marketing specialists with developing a marketing strategy and maintaining effective advertising to attract prospective guests to the resort
  • Assist the above property management with the preparation of the annual operating budget by providing accurate data to assist in capital expenditure and expansion budget needs
  • Review monthly property accounting reports and compile reports, as required
  • Prepare a monthly explanation of P&L variances

Job Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • 2 years of property management/resort experience is preferred
  • General knowledge of maintenance
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to fair housing and employment lawย 
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, the internet, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver's License is preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
