Job description

Work in the Canadian Rockies this summer! Located 2 ½ hours south of Calgary and nestled within the surrounding mountains of Waterton Lakes National Park www.mywaterton.ca, you will find the picturesque and quaint village of Waterton Park. We have two properties in the Park, the Bayshore Inn Resort & Spa and the Waterton Glacier Suites.

The Bayshore Inn Resort & Spa has all the highest rated and busiest restaurants in Waterton Park and all are located right on the shores of Waterton Lake.

The Thirsty Bear Kitchen + Bar www.thirstybearwaterton.com is the only bar in the park and is right on Main Street with a gourmet pub style menu. The Thirsty Bear has live music nightly and is one of Waterton busiest restaurants.

We also own The Lakeside Chophouse www.lakesidechophouse.ca which has also just completed a major renovation and is the highest rated restaurant in Waterton Park.

We also have the Starbucks Café.

Our newest restaurant is the Red Rock Trattoria www.redrockcafe.ca, this Italian restaurant has quickly become the second highest rated restaurant in the region with our fresh pastas and Italian favorites.

We boast the largest convention center in park, again on the lake, in which we have at least one if not two weddings every weekend.

Expectations:

  • Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare high quality coffees and other beverages.
  • Advise customers on beverage choices, making suggestions when necessary.
  • Wash barware, glassware and utensils after each use.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary coffee bar and café.
  • Abide by safe food and beverage handling standards.
  • Collect payment and operate cash register.
  • Serve food items.
  • Ensure the coffee bar is well stocked with supplies.
  • Clean up after customers and clean work area.
  • Arrange flavor syrups, supplies and glassware to make attractive displays.
  • Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Handle hot beverages and barware safely.
  • Assist with the training of other baristas.
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies.
  • Mix ingredients according to beverage recipes.
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping.
  • Other duties as required.
