Job Title: Kitchen Aide (Residential Care Facility)

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90032
Employment Type: Full-Time/Temp-to-hire
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Position Overview

Legacy Staffing is seeking a dependable and compassionate Cook on behalf of a residential care facility serving adults in a residential treatment setting. This position is responsible for preparing nutritious meals, maintaining kitchen sanitation standards, and creating a welcoming dining experience for residents.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food preparation, understand the importance of cleanliness and safety, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that supports individuals in residential care.

Schedule

Work Days:

  • Thursday through Monday

Days Off:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday

Hours:

  • Monday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Thursday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Service
  • Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and presented in a respectful, caring, and professional manner.
  • Monitor food quality and maintain consistency in meal preparation.
  • Assist with meal planning and food inventory as needed.
Kitchen Sanitation & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
  • Clean workstations, food preparation areas, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow food safety standards and infection control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Residential Support
  • Interact respectfully with residents and staff.
  • Support a positive, home-like environment within the facility.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members to meet residents' needs.
Team Participation
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in cooking, food service, kitchen operations, housekeeping, human services, or a related field preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a health screening, drug screen and background check/live scan.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing respectful, compassionate service.
