Job description

Eman Schools is seeking dedicated and dynamic Upper Elementary Homeroom Teachers for Grades 4, 5, and 6 for the upcoming school year. We are looking for educators who can lead structured classrooms, build strong relationships with students and families, and foster academic excellence and character development rooted in Islamic values.

Position Overview

The Upper Elementary Homeroom Teacher will serve as the primary instructor and advisor for one assigned grade-level section. This role includes core subject instruction, student mentoring, and maintaining a focused and respectful classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, or other subjects based on expertise and grade-level need)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Indiana Academic Standards
  • Maintain strong classroom management and high academic expectations
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families
  • Collaborate with upper elementary faculty and administration
  • Support student character development consistent with the mission of Eman Schools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Education or related field preferred)
  • Valid Indiana teaching license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
