Mt. San Antonio Gardens is hiring a per diem Resident Assistant in the Oak Tree Lodge, assisted living area. The 70 residents who live in the The Oak Tree Lodge enjoy life with the attentive personalize support of our professional staff. If you would like to work in a relationship rich, elder directed environment, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with meals, dressing, bathing, bed making and grooming.
  • Observe and tidy rooms and Lodge public areas for safety conditions and cleanliness.
  • Notify supervisor of any resident request, need or change in personality or change in condition.
  • Give residents nourishment.
  • Chart baths, bed changes, vital signs and weights, daily work activities and resident conditions.
  • If assigned, assist residents with transportation to and from medical appointments and activities.
  • Assist with watering the OTL plants as needed.
  • Attend to cleaning needs of residents; empty trash and do laundry.
  • Attend mandatory in- services.
  • Attend Monthly staff meetings.
  • Complete dementia training requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Literacy, emotional maturity, patience, general interest and a concern for the elderly and frail.
  • Willingness to accept supervision and ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete assigned duties without limitations.
  • Must have a valid CA driver's license.
  • Must have CPR and first aid certificate and complete requirements for dementia training.
  • Ability to meet the physical needs of the position.
