These roles often include responsibilities such as feeding, cleaning, monitoring health, and ensuring the overall well-being of animals on site. Common employers include animal shelters, kennels, private estates, ranches, boarding facilities, and sometimes zoos or wildlife sanctuaries. The housing is typically located on or near the premises to allow staff to respond quickly to animal needs and emergencies. This arrangement benefits both the employer, by ensuring continuous care, and the employee, by reducing living expenses.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a live in housing provided animal caretaker?

To thrive as a Live-In Animal Caretaker, you need experience in animal care, basic veterinary knowledge, and sometimes certifications such as animal first aid or pet CPR.
