Job description

Primary Responsibilities:
Reflect the core values of Home Instead Huntington
Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life
Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions
Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Companionship and conversation
Providing stabilization and assistance with walking
Light housekeeping tasks (laundry, dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens etc.)
Meal preparation
Medication and appointment reminders
Assistance with grooming and bathing
Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
Running errands
Accompanying clients to appointments
Alzheimer's Care
Driving to assignments and driving clients to appointments and shopping
Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
**Current Home Health Aide Certification (HHA)
A plus: Possess a Valid Driver's License and Reliable Vehicle with Valid Auto Insurance
Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
Three (3) years minimum experience caring for seniors
Must provide positive professional references illustrating experience
