Live-In Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)

Ocean & Southern Monmouth Counties, NJ

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and dependable Live-In Certified Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide high-quality care to seniors and adults with disabilities in Ocean and Southern Monmouth Counties.

We are currently offering $195 per day for Live-In assignments.

What is a Live-In HHA?

A Live-In HHA resides with the client 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard schedule includes:

  • 10 hours of active work per day
  • 8 hours of sleep
  • 3 hours of rest breaks
  • 3 hours for meals

Prefer hourly work instead of live-in? We also have hourly assignments available throughout South Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Non-certified caregivers: Complete the application, accept an assignment, and Right at Home will provide access to the NJ Board of Nursing CHHA certification course for free after 600 hours of work.


Responsibilities

As a Live-In HHA, your duties may include:

Personal Care

  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and shaving
  • Supporting mobility and transfers
  • Providing companionship and emotional support

Meal Assistance

  • Preparing meals and snacks according to client needs or diet instructions
  • Assisting with feeding if necessary

Housekeeping & Errands

  • Light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping, dishes, laundry, bed linens, bathroom cleaning
  • Accompanying clients to medical appointments or errands

Client-Specific Care

  • Medication reminders
  • Assisting with range-of-motion exercises
  • Dementia care support
  • Incontinence care
  • Special diet preparation

Care activities will be taught and supervised by a Right at Home nurse to ensure safety and quality.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with proper work authorization
  • CHHA certification
  • Ability to obtain medical clearance and comply with NJ health requirements:
  • 1-step PPD or QuantiFERON negative within 1 year
  • Positive PPD requires chest x-ray within 5 years
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently for the role
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle preferred but not required
