Description

Cleveland Construction is seeking a dependable, hard-working Assistant Estimator to join our commercial construction team! **MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DRYWALL OR METAL STUDS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED**

HOURS OF WORK

Monday-Friday | 8:00AM-5:00PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quantity takeoffs using estimating software- experience with "The Edge" preferred
  • Reading and understanding blueprints and specifications
  • Develop project specific estimates
  • Perform thorough document reviews (drawings, specifications, schedule, logistics and products)
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Reviewing Vendor (Subcontractor & Supplier) proposals for completeness and competitiveness
  • Understanding overall project and trade-specific scope of work through the thorough review of project documents (drawings, specification, reports, etc.)
  • Solicit proposals from Vendors (Subcontractor & Supplier)
  • Working with Estimating and pre-construction staff in completing other tasks as directed

SKILL'S / KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of interior and exterior metal stud framing, drywall installations, acoustical ceilings,
    specialty ceilings, plaster, EIFS & DEFS and misc. supporting divisions
  • Proficient in technology, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), web-based databases, the Cloud, etc.
  • Familiar with Edge, Blue Beam, One Note is helpful
  • A quick learner
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)

REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must pass E-Verify
  • 2 years' experience in construction
  • High School Diploma / GED / Equivalent
