Novamet Specialty Products is a recognized leader in the development and manufacturing of high-performance metal powders and advanced materials serving aerospace, electronics, energy, and industrial markets.

We are seeking a Senior Business Development & Sales Manager to drive growth, expand market presence, and build strategic partnerships across key industries. This role blends hands-on technical sales with forward-looking business development to support Novamet’s advanced metal powder solutions across markets, including powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing, thermal spray, metal injection molding (MIM), and specialty industrial applications.

This position requires a consultative, technically fluent sales professional who can partner closely with engineering, metallurgy, and operations to deliver high-value solutions and build long-term customer partnerships.

What You’ll Do

Drive new business development by identifying and securing opportunities in target markets

Manage and grow existing accounts while expanding share of wallet

Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives

Collaborate with metallurgy, engineering, and operations teams to deliver tailored customer solutions

Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and post-sale support

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies

Represent Novamet at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Business, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)

7+ years of progressive sales and/or business development experience in metal powders, materials manufacturing, or related industrial markets

Proven success selling technical products in B2B environments

Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Willingness to travel (typically 25–40%)

Preferred

Experience with powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing, MIM, thermal spray, or specialty materials

Technical background or hands-on experience with metal powder production or applications

Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs, contractors, or government supply chains, including familiarity with compliance and qualification processes

CRM experience and data-driven forecasting capabilities
