Job description

We are seeking a Real Estate Post-Closing Coordinator to support UHCU's real estate loan funding, post-closing and member loan servicing experience. You will be the main point of contact between the member, the Credit Union, and third party servicing vendor to provide a seamless experience for the member. You will establish a relationship with the CUSO to serve as support and communication for loan closings, loan funding, boarding, and membership information needed for loans. You will be responsible for ensuring current real estate portfolio integrity via funding, post-closing, loan boarding and file maintenance. You will review the loan file for both internal guidelines and regulation compliance to include identifying errors or inadequacies in the loan file and working with appropriate parties to resolve outstanding issues.

As a Post-Closing Coordinator with UHCU you'll get to:

  • Coordinate loan funding with CUSO and vendor partners.
  • Board HELOC loans to core system for disbursement and servicing.
  • Disburse loan funds and ensure balanced loan funding.
  • Upload executed loan documents and funding receipts to imaging for storage.
  • QC Loans boarded with sub-servicing vendor. Coordinate corrections when needed between departments.
  • Track and organize collateral packages and recorded documents from funding through life of loan.
  • Promote the Credit Union's real estate initiatives at the branch level.
  • Provide member service to the Credit Union's current real estate servicing portfolio by answering member inquiries and performing file maintenance as necessary.
  • Fulfill third party request such as payoffs, verifications of mortgage, subordination agreements and payment history requests.
  • Process release of lien and loan document maintenance on paid in full closed loans.
  • Complete required tracking and reporting of servicing portfolio including but not limited to MERS and flood zone tracking reports.
  • Track, review and approve with in granted limits any insurance claim check for the servicing portfolio.
  • Promote the Credit Union ensuring service standards and Core Values are maintained.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Excellent listening ability and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for providing outstanding service to our members.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and security with sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Basic understanding of the loan closing process in its entirety in order keep the loan file on track though funding.
  • Basic understanding of loan policy, real estate loan policy and loan authority limits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year mortgage lending/closing experience and ability to take on production or workflow oversight is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in mortgage processing and/or closing with knowledge of key terms and functions specific to the mortgage loan life cycle from application to servicing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Conventional (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), and Texas 50(a)6 Home Equity lending is required, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Maintain notary public license, or be able to obtain this license within expected timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience processing complex, detailed information in an accurate and thorough manner.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work with a wide variety of internal and external clients providing effective interpersonal communication and team skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree or some college coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Symitar.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
