Their duties typically include supervising household staff, managing vendors and contractors, ensuring security, coordinating events, and maintaining the property’s upkeep. By living on the premises, they are available to address issues promptly and provide personalized service to homeowners. Estate managers often have experience in hospitality, property management, or related fields, and are trusted with managing both the physical aspects of the estate and the privacy of its residents.

Candidates can prepare by developing strong organizational routines, setting clear boundaries with employers where possible, and building a reliable network of service providers for swift response to estate needs.
