  • Coordinate communication with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other outside professionals to ensure matters progress efficiently and clients remain informed
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to support the efficient progression of matters from opening through completion
  • Provide support to the estate planning team when needed, including assisting with preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in probate, trust administration, or estate planning within the State of Michigan
  • Experience working in or closely with probate court processes is welcomed and highly valued
  • Working knowledge of probate procedures and estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
