Job description

A kind parent in Bethesda, MD is seeking a live-in full-charge nanny/family assistant for their sweet six and four-year-old girls. The family has recently relocated to the area and is relying on the successful candidate to really take ownership of the role and to have their best interests at heart. The start date is flexible for the perfect fit, but ASAP is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday 50 hours per week, typically a split shift covering the morning routine 7am-9am and then again afternoons until bedtime. The children are in school Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm. The ideal candidate understands that this role is split equally between childcare and keeping the household always running smoothly. 


  • Full childcare including providing a warm and loving environment while implementing respectful boundaries and promoting age appropriate independence and manners. This role will provide consistency for the children while being a positive role model
  • Cooking for the children, children’s laundry, and maintaining children’s bedrooms and play spaces 
  • Driving and transporting the children to and from school, appointments, playdates, and other activities
  • Maintaining a clean nanny car
  • Run errands for the family (i.e. dry cleaning, returns, car washes, etc.)
  • Establishing and maintaining organizational systems within the house so that everything runs smoothly 

  • Proactive and able to take initiative 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient 
  • Professional/career nanny who knows how to maintain boundaries and able to navigate being in this kind of role
  • Tech savvy (gmail, calendar, ordering on Amazon, etc.)
  • Easy going personality, able to roll with changes, and adapt quickly to different environments 
  • Team player with excellent communication

  • Driver's license and clean driving record. There is a nanny car available for transporting the children if candidate does not have their own vehicle. 
  • Good swimmer, happy to swim with children, and able to supervise children in and around water 
  • No dog allergies and comfortable with a small friendly dog
  • US passport, Green Card, or EAC 

  • $35-40+ per hour plus standard benefits and potential for healthcare stipend
  • Private bedroom and bathroom on separate floor of the home (please note: they are unable to accommodate any additional pets/animals or children)
  • Family will offer relocation assistance if needed
