THIS IS A POSITION FOR A CAREGIVER WHO WILL LIVE-IN THE HOME FOR 3 TO 4 DAYS.


Locations in Stone Mountain and Ellenwood.


We provide 24/7 residential care services that allow individuals with disabilities to remain in a home setting and meet their challenges of daily living activities with dignity, care, and compassion.


This ad is for a position caring for adults in a personal care home.


Shift(s) Available:

Weekdays

  • Monday 9:00 AM to Friday 9:00 AM


Required Qualifications:

  • Complete a criminal background check
  • CPR/First Aid Physical/TB Testing
  • DMV check
  • Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance


Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Assistance with Medication
  • Transport to doctor appointments and activities in the community
  • Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues


Experience

  • Evidence of an interest in and ability to work with people.
  • Good grooming and personal hygiene are evident.
  • Past employment indicates dependability, the ability to follow directions, good judgment, and emotional maturity.
  • Willingness and ability to follow directions from supervision and training.
  • Ability to document daily activities in writing (English is required) and do simple math.
  • Ability to treat and care for individuals with disabilities and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Evidence of homemaking and cooking skills.


Responsibilities

  • Builds strong relationships with other caregivers and clients/families.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily tasks in compliance with policy and procedure and the Service Plan.
  • Maintain communication with the supervisor and report emergency or problem situations immediately
