Job description

TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Career Production Generalist for 1st shift at our Shell Rock, IA office. As a Production Generalist for Trinity Rail, you will play a vital role in many areas of production. Some of those roles will range from preparing the interior of a railcar for final inspection as well as monitoring the railcar for employees to work inside railcars. You will also play a vital role in assisting production welders on a variety of tasks, which range from insulating, prepping cars for inspection to preforming touch up work on all types of railcars. This role is flexible role in which you will have a unique opportunity on helping all buildings succeed in meeting our overall production goals.
What you'll do :
  • Have knowledge or willing to gain the knowledge of to how to use a variety of hand tools with a high degree of safety.
  • Ability to work in multiple workstations, which range from loud environment's to dirty environments.
  • Willing to work at elevated workstations and working on your knees for long periods at a time.
  • Willing to adapt to a safety minded culture company and live those safety practices throughout your everyday activities.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written communication instructions and procedures.
  • Have knowledge or willing to gain skills necessary to operate an overhead crane with a high level of safety and accuracy.
  • Utilize mobile equipment while aiding to production.
  • Aid in assisting production to meet production goals with safety and quality in the forefront of all activities.

Qualifications
What you'll need :
  • Previous experience with hand, power and/or mechanical tools
  • Previous experience operating overhead crane or ability to learn
  • Ability to read and understand shop orders.
  • Good attention to detail
