Event Coordinator at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center

Location-1520 Euclid Ave, Boulder, CO 80302
Compensation: $125 per event
Start Date: August 16

Our Mission

The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center strives to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, engage higher education and form all whom we serve in the intellectual, spiritual and apostolic tradition of the Catholic Faith.


The Event Coordinator works closely with Campus Minister to help plan and execute campus ministry events throughout the year.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistical details for events including, but not limited to:
    • Holy Happy Hour
    • Welcome Back BBQ
    • Parents Weekend Tailgate
    • Baccalaureate Dinner
    • Easter Vigil Party
  • Order food and supplies as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee event setup and takedown
  • Ensure all cleanup is completed and spaces are returned to their original condition
  • Manage event inventory and supplies
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers for events

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Involvement in Buffalo Catholic required
  • Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)
  • Friendly and outgoing demeanor
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who will collaborate with Catholic Center staff
  • Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of food service items
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during meal preparation and service
