Job description

Summary:
Receives and bills merchandise, accepts payment, waits on customer and assists location manager by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides customer service in a timely manner via several means which include email, face to face interaction, telephone and live chat.
  • Bill products, receive payments, run scale, and track inventory.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns, complaints and issues.
  • Assist location manager with maintaining grain, petroleum, feed and/or agronomy records.
  • Accept and record prepayment and bookings for products.
  • Price and process payment for commodities delivered by customers
  • Removes cash and reconciles amount of cash in register at end of day and prepares deposit.
  • Develops and maintains vast knowledge of the products and services being offered.
  • Exhibits self-motivation and the ability to multitask and pay close attention to small details.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of grain and inventory software.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability at all times. May be required to maintain a valid CDL and commercial insurability by location manager.
May be required to maintain a current weighing license and grain grading certificate.
