The Paralegal is a legal professional who provides foundational legal support to attorneys and senior paralegals. This role focuses on developing research, drafting, and administrative skills while supporting day-to-day legal operations.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

Conduct preliminary matter intake by gathering relevant facts, identifying basic legal issues, and routing information to attorneys and legal team members as appropriate.

Perform basic legal research and assist in summarizing findings to support litigation matters, legal projects, and attorney review.

Support the litigation hold process by preparing and maintaining litigation hold documentation, assisting with the release of holds, and maintaining the litigation hold tracking system.

Partner with inhouse litigation attorneys and internal stakeholders to support compliance with litigation hold requirements and related processes.

Prepare routine legal documents, templates, and administrative materials, including proofreading draft documents and obtaining execution signatures on finalized materials.

Manage document organization, filing, and matter tracking, ensuring accurate maintenance of legal records and shared drives in accordance with internal procedures.

File legal documents and assist with compliance with applicable rules, filing requirements, and deadlines.

Support attorneys with materials and logistics for hearings, meetings, internal presentations, and legal projects as needed.

Provide copies of fully executed documents to outside counsel or internal functional teams and ensure documents are properly saved and maintained in company systems.

Your Toolbox

Paralegal or Legal Assistant Associate Degree and/or paralegal certification.

1-5 years of Paralegal experience.

Experience working across corporate departments and supporting executives and other employees in corporate legal projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English.

Impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading skills.

Self-starter: ability to independently resolve inquires and issues with skill and judgment.

Ability to balance multiple projects with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to maintain poise in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.

Must be able to demonstrate discretion in handling highly confidential information.

A consummate team player who interacts well with co-workers, supervisors, and management, maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
