Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join a leading law firm’s Denver office. About the Role

The Litigation Paralegal will play an essential role in supporting attorneys through all stages of litigation — from discovery and document review to trial preparation. You’ll manage case files, coordinate discovery plans, prepare subpoenas, and oversee document productions, while leveraging advanced eDiscovery tools and trial technologies to ensure efficiency and accuracy in every matter.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial.

  • Develop and manage discovery plans, document review protocols, and production processes.

  • Oversee complex document review projects for both civil and criminal litigation.

  • Prepare and serve subpoenas in state and federal courts.

  • Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits, witness binders, and courtroom presentations.

  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure all case deadlines and filings are met.

  • Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and context.

  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and litigation support teams to ensure seamless case management.


Qualifications & Skills
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (or attorney declaration under BPC 6450 required).

  • 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.

  • Proficiency with litigation technology platforms, including:

    • Relativity, RelOne, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Trial Director, Sanction, Lexis CaseNotebook, Westlaw, or LexisNexis.

  • Experience managing large-scale document reviews and discovery databases.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with both attorneys and clients.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
