Litigation Assistant - Boca Raton, FL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic legal team in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a fast-paced environment, specifically handling high-volume commercial litigation and commercial eviction cases. This role is critical to our firm's success and requires an individual who can manage a significant caseload with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and organize case files from inception through to post-judgment collections.
  • Prepare, review, and draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence.
  • Handle all aspects of electronic filing (e-filing) with state and federal courts.
  • Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, and deadlines.
  • Assist with all phases of trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating with witnesses.
  • Conduct legal research and retrieve court records as needed.
  • Manage the discovery process, including the preparation and tracking of interrogatories, requests for production, and admissions.
  • Assist with post-judgment collection efforts, including garnishments and levies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a litigation assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal in a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume commercial litigation is required. Experience with commercial evictions is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in e-filing systems (State and Federal), legal research platforms, and case management software.
  • Strong experience with trial preparation, calendaring, and discovery processes.
