Job description

Riveron is seeking a Director to join its Litigation Advisory Services practice within Restructuring & Turnaround Services (RTS). This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys, corporate clients, and other stakeholders in complex commercial disputes, investigations, and financial matters.

Riveron's Litigation Advisory Services practice provides economic damages analysis, forensic accounting, business valuation, expert witness support, and dispute consulting services to attorneys, corporations, private equity firms, and other stakeholders involved in complex commercial litigation. Our professionals help clients navigate high-stakes disputes through rigorous financial analysis, strategic insights, and clear communication of complex issues.

The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in economic damages, lost profits, business valuation, forensic accounting, and financial investigations. This individual will lead and manage engagements from inception through resolution, including case strategy development, damages quantification, expert report preparation, deposition support, and trial preparation.

This role is well suited for a rising litigation advisory professional who can independently manage the day-to-day execution of complex matters while developing toward future expert witness and business development responsibilities.

In addition to delivering exceptional client service, the Director will be expected to manage client relationships, contribute to the continued growth of Riveron's Litigation Advisory Services platform, and demonstrate interest in building business development capabilities over time.

Who You Are

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in litigation consulting, forensic accounting, valuation, disputes, or related advisory services.
  • Significant experience quantifying economic damages, lost profits, and/or business valuation-related damages.
  • Experience managing engagements from inception through resolution.
  • Experience preparing expert reports, financial analyses, or other litigation-related work product.
  • Demonstrated client relationship management experience and the ability to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • One or more of the following credentials:
  • CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst)
  • ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation)
  • ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser)
  • CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics)
  • CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)
  • Exposure to expert witness engagements, including expert report preparation, deposition support, or trial preparation.
  • Experience working directly with attorneys and outside counsel.
  • Exposure to business development, proposal development, networking, or attorney relationship management.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, automation, or technologies that improve reporting, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
What You'll DoClient Service & Engagement Leadership
  • Lead complex litigation consulting engagements from initial case assessment through trial, arbitration, mediation, or settlement.
  • Develop and evaluate economic damages models and financial analyses including lost profits, business interruption damages, diminution in value, shareholder disputes, and other commercial damages.
  • Perform business valuation analyses in litigation and dispute contexts.
  • Conduct forensic accounting investigations involving fraud, financial misconduct, and asset tracing.
  • Assist counsel and senior Riveron professionals with case strategy development and discovery planning.
  • Analyze financial records, accounting data, industry information, and economic evidence.
  • Evaluate opposing expert analyses and assist in preparing rebuttal opinions.
  • Draft expert reports, declarations, presentations, and supporting analyses.
  • Support deposition preparation, trial preparation, and expert witness activities as needed.
Client Relationship & Practice Development
  • Manage day-to-day client communications and engagement deliverables.
  • Support client pitches, presentations, and proposal development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with law firms, corporate counsel, and other referral sources.
  • Participate in speaking engagements, industry conferences, professional associations, and thought leadership initiatives as opportunities arise.
  • Demonstrate interest in growing into business development and client origination responsibilities over time.
Leadership & Practice Development
  • Lead and mentor consultants and managers across multiple engagements.
  • Oversee project execution, staffing, budgets, and quality control.
  • Review work product and ensure adherence to professional standards.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members.
  • Support the continued growth and market positioning of the Litigation Advisory Services practice.
