Job description

The Shirvanian Law Firm, APLC is a boutique personal injury litigation law firm and represents injured people in pre-litigation and litigation motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases. We provide the highest quality legal representation to our clients. The Firm serves clients throughout the State of California with headquarters located in Glendale, California. 
We are hiring a personal injury litigation associate who will primarily responsible to litigate cases from inception through resolution. You will have the ability to negotiate pre-litigation settlements as well as handle all aspects of litigation from filing lawsuits, conduct written and deposition discovery, expert depositions, law and motion, and trials.
Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney responsibilities will include:
  • Negotiation of pre-litigation and litigation settlements against insurance companies and defense counsel;
  • Litigate personal injury cases from the inception of filing complaints, discovery, until resolution;
  • Drafting and propounding discovery;
  • Taking and defending depositions;
  • Drafting pleadings and law and motion;
  • Court appearances;
  • Legal writing and research;
  • Customer service with clients;
  • Pre-trial motions in limine; trial prep; and chairing trials;
  • Reviewing cases for settlement;
  • Drafting settlement demands;
  • Corresponding with insurance companies and defense counsel.
Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney Qualifications:
  • Personal injury case handling experience (1-3 years);
  • Licensed by the State Bar of California, in good standing;
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • Understand CA civil procedure for State Court cases;
  • Bilingual preference (Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus).

Starting salary is dependent upon experience. Discretionary bonus structure for settlements of Firm cases and generous referral fees for cases brought into the firm per State Bar Rules. Paid time off and vacation availability. Discretionary year-end bonus based on performance.
